Im Back!!

Ok, so in case you missed the news, Im back in Australia.
I came back two weeks early due to a funeral.
Praise God that things just fell into place and went smoothly. My students held a farewell bbq on the last night and I spent good time with my friends. I finally managed to pack (thanks Rebecca!!) and a car ride, train trip, 3 planes and another car later I was back in Australia.
It is good but strange to be home. Like Narnia-when you come back through the wardrobe after a lifetime away and everything seems the same. I'm slowly noticing differences and finding my feet. Missing Poland-especially not having anyone to speak the language too.
Anyway-back to so called "normal life"-so goodbye to the blog till next time.
Thanks again for all your support! Keep in touch,
God Bless,
Keren

Finishing well

Since I last wrote I spent some time in London with an Australian friend while I was there the weather in Poland changed to summer! This means poppies and roses and strawberries as cheap as $1.50 AUD per kilo! Wow!

Things are going really well-I thought it would be mostly good byes however I am continuing to encouraged and be enouraged by new friends. They are inviting me to come along to their ministries or to meet with their friends. It is great to be able to be involved in other peoples activities because it is busy at the school with end of year tests and with me preparing to return home to Australia.

Tonight is my goodbye party-3 weeks till Im in Australia. I think it is important to say goodbyes well-so please pray this can happen. Also please pray that I have opportunites to share Christ or connect my students with Polish Christians.

Prayer request

I continued to be excited by what God has in store-I am having more and more opportunities to talk to my students about Christ and also more opportunities to be an active Church member.
It is 5 weeks until I come home and things feel really different. Like I am in a state of transition. God can do a lot in 5 weeks so please pray I can finish well!!!
God Bless,
Love Keren

Feelings do not equal fact!!!

Life in Poland is good-but it's been a stressful week. Our director is away sick and the team is looking towards next year-at this stage there is no director so the team will be running the school as well as teaching and ministring. Thats a lot of unknowns and change!

Also change is in store for me. My brother is living in China, my younger sister in Japan and my older sister is expecting her 3rd child any day now. Plus my Dad is considering a career change. Who said notng happens in one year!

So I was feeling a little insecure but there is great news-God is constant! The ministries here are awesome and God has good things in store. We just have to trust on God and His timing. I am continually blessed here-materially and spiritually. My relationships with my students just keep getting better and I am able to share Christ with them more and more. Praise God!! What a joy it is to serve Christ in Poland-although it is not always easy. Keep your eyes on Christ. Claim him promises and obey his commands and you will begin to see all the good He has planned for you!

God Bless,
Keren

It is spring! The sun is out most days now and the flowers are gorgeous and the air is filled with perfume. The palace is where I would love to live!!! It is in the middle of a huge garden. So gorgeous!
God is continuing to answer prayers. Yesterday I went out with one of my students and we ended up chatting about what it means to be a woman in Christ! Awesome stuff and very encouraging to us both. I have been praying that God softens the hearts of the students families. The next two weekends I am spending time with my students AND their families.
My Church/friends in Australia have been awesome this week-thanks for your prayers, letters, messages and bible verses-I'm looking forward to catching up and hearing about what Gods been doing in your lives. God Bless!

Poland is normal life

Sorry I've been slower at writing recently-I've realised that life in Poland feels normal to me now and I forget that it is a world away from my life in Australia! I have been studying REALLY hard this week..... but not Polish-actually English! I've come across some complicated grammar and need to know it before I can teach it. Wow-languages can be hard.

The first photo is of some of the children I work with at kids club. This was taken on the winter camp. I slid down that hill with the children so many times! What fun!
The second is me at teachers retreat. We visited a famous castle-it isn't only the castles that are old here. Religion is so rooted in tradition and what has been passed down through the generations. Please pray that people in Poland might see God and the Bible as something relevant for their everyday lives-not just as ancient tradition.
The third photo is the view from my window at the mission conference in Spain. Aaaaah, Sea, Sand, Sun, Sieastas......and snails!!! I thought it was only the French who ate snails-bt the Spanish do to.
The students in my adults class have really bonded together-they also enjoy talking to me after class and during breaks which has given me the opportunity to sharea little more of my faith. I want to share so much more but it is little by little or they seem to switch off as though I'm talking about something that happens in far off Australia not here.
The 8 days of Evangelism went well-it was interesting for me as the speaker spoke in German, which was translated into Polish and then a friend translated it into English for me!!! Still, the messages and worship time where something special. I know it was encouraging for the Christians in Wroclaw and hope that it will impact the wider community too.
I arrive home in 10 weeks from today!!! So much to do, so little time..........

Back in Poland

After a week in Sunny Spain it was snowing when I arrived back in Poland! After a day sick in bed I am trying to catch up with emails and reintergrate myself back into life. At the moment the 8 days of Evangelism is happening at the Church, the school is looking for a new director and we seem to be having constant change in teachers-so a week is a long time!!

Spain was great. It was encouraging to hear the way God is working all around Europe and to meet my Australian team. The Christian fellwoship was much needed and proved to be a good "spiritual check up" for me. I feel reenergised and inspired. Time out from Poland has given me time to reevaluate and refocus what I am doing in Poland.

So I have 3 months left and have about 5 years worth of things I would love to do before I leave so I an seeking Gods will of when to say yes and when to say no.

Well..... I'd better get back to the emails!
God Bless,
Keren
